resiliency (noun) 1. the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness. 2. the ability of a substance or object (or human!) to spring back into shape; elasticity. In this session, CSI Digital Media Professor Laura Erickson and CSI Music Professor Serena Jenkins Clark bring practical tools to help teachers at all levels learn to design and implement lessons and assignments that help students build resiliency and habits of persistence. They began adding resilience teaching into student learning outcomes several years ago, and have found that teaching persistence has even greater value in this era of pandemic fatigue and academic burnout.
